I think that Lisbon is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, and I couldn't believe my luck when my mother-in-law gave me this beautiful skirt inspired by Portuguese blue tiles as a birthday present. A perfect match with my new baby.

Funny: I think Lisbon is one of the ugliest cities I have ever visited. The food is awful too.
ReplyDeleteYour skirt and bag are very nice though.
the bag looks just gorgeous.. Follower from Shang Hai
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Lisbon a lot, wonderful experience using the old tram... Alice in Wonderland
ReplyDeleteNice silver bangles, would you suggest them for a wedding? Blue but Chic
ReplyDelete@Carramba che sorpresa - I can recommend you a couple of good restaurants if you want to give Lisbon a second chance...Glad you liked the outfit...
ReplyDelete@Follower from Shang Hai - Thanks!
@Blue but Chic - Of course it depends on the dress, but these bangles go with anything...go for them!
The skirt is stunning and compliments the baby very well...very nice outfit!
ReplyDelete@Bag-aholic - Thank you! You're always so kind...
ReplyDeleteI fell in love with your new baby (bag) in a previous post, but the skirt...! Perfect outfit for the only sunny & hot day in Bxl! Brava anche la suocera!
ReplyDeleteI don't think Lisbon deserves a second chance.
ReplyDeletebtw: any comment from an expert like yourself on the recent purchase of Belstaff by Austrian (!!!) group Labelux? I don't know how I feel about an Austrian group, owned by a German family, snatching a British/Italian icon such as Belstaff. They also bought Jimmy Choo too, like the week before.
I don't know: I don't think I have ever met an Austrian or a German with a sense of style. I guess the good days of Belstaff are over.
@Sekure - Thank you!
ReplyDelete@Carramba che sorpresa - I'll go to Lisbon in a couple of weeks for that (in)famous rock festival...hope you'll have a look at the outfits I'll post, even if you don't like the city...
It's always sad when a label is bought by a big group. Having said that, it then depends on the designers they hire to keep up with style and high standars (I'm thinking about Celine and Phoebe Philo)...I also see that Belstaff will be in good company...Derek Lam, very good company.
Jil Sander is German and Helmut Lang is Austrian...
Cute as always. Intrigued to know what Carramba saw and ate in Lisbon.
ReplyDelete@NJAPD:
ReplyDeleteMy point exactly: you can name the only Austrian or German who have style. Exceptions, not the rule.
@Anonymous
I saw a lot of very ugly women, I saw buildings which make Naples look like a first world city and I ate stinky fish (and I LOVE fish). Their pastries are very good though. But you can't live off pastries.
The only other European cities that is possibly uglier than Lisbon is Athens. Tough choice.
@Carramba: I hope you have better taste for clothes than for cities
ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteHey, I am sorry if dirty and poor and run down is not my kind of city. But suit yourself...
As for my taste in clothes, ask the owner of this blog.
@Anonymous - If you are interested, I can confirm that Carramba has very good taste for clothes...As for his comments, he reminds me of a quote by Mae West "When I'm good I'm very, very good, but when I'm bad, I'm better."
