If you have been following my blog, you might have noticed that I simply love the quirky style of Marni and I should thank this label for my obsession with costume jewelry, which is a fundamental element of the Marni look. So you cannot immagine my joy when I read about the upcoming capsule collection of Consuelo Castiglioni for H&M.

Only few pictures are available and you can barely see the clothes - which will be available in selected H&M stores and online as of 8 March - but I already know (very irrationally) that I want it all. Yep, cone-head hat included.

UPDATE - 30 November: I couldn't resist and I had to upload the video...The cone-head hat will be in good company with the silver pumps, the purple polka dot ensemble, printed dresses and multiple neck & arm candies...I love how Tim Blanks of Style.com explains Ms. Castiglioni's approach: "We are thinking designers who don't take the easy route, don't go towards a kind of graphic sexuality on things. She aims for a sort of sensuality of the mind". My mind is certainly in love with this label!
che notizia! if the night before you put up a tent in front of the store, I'll join you...
ReplyDeleteWhen I heard about the collaboration this morning, I actually thought about you! I am with Sekure, we can have a fashion tent in front of the store!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous piece. Can't wait. When do they open their online store?

wow! Great news! Is there a list of the selected shops where the capsule collection will be available? Where will it be available online?
ReplyDeleteNow that thanks to you I have become a Marni costume jewelry fan, I cannot wait to have it all, like you!
Baci,

I'm much much more excited about this collaboration than the Versace one. xo
ReplyDeleteI was quite surprised when I heard about it yesterday. Never thought they'd do quirky.
ReplyDelete"Sensuality of the mind" - what a great description, and now looking at this - extremely apt.
ReplyDeleteI couldn´t be happier after hearing such a great notice!! I love Marni!!
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you!

MY LITTLE SUEDE SHOES
Graphic sexuality? I do not know what that means.
ReplyDeleteI like the cuts of everything but I'm not sure about the prints. A bit much for me. March is soooo far.
A very different choice from Versace, that's for sure. It's funny how they go from crowd pleasers (Versace, Cavalli, Madonna, Jimmy Choo) to more - is there a way to say this without being condescending? - thoughtful fashion. Marni isn't really up my alley, I somehow always think they're clothes would look horrible on me. But I do like their patterns, and I'll look forward to seeing the accessories!
ReplyDeleteOooo I'm so excited!!
ReplyDeleteexciting news!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the preview of the Marni line! I did visit H&M at night during the launch of the Versace line, well as you can guess by the time I got there all the good stuff was gone....or so I thought. A lot of polyester and faux-leather...for $299? I'll save my $
ReplyDeleteQuite possibly the best h&m collaboration yet. Can't wait to get my hands on this collection!
ReplyDeleteI love this collaboration, i'm so curious how the collection would look like!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited as well! I heard quite some negative reactions re this collaboration. Tho I'm pretty sure it'll be one of the biggest success of H&M + a famoust brend cooperation. I think Marni and H&M have quite the same approach to the pattern and modernity in their designs: quirky, funny, young and comfortable. I'm in love with the white flower necklace and white-greenich-brownish dress!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait!:)
