Inspired by the cone-head hat seen in one of the few images of the Marni for H&M collaboration, I felt the urge to get one for the winter season. And Zara surprised me with this nice light grey angora piece. My fascination with conical hats started few years ago. Again blame Marni and a red creation from its SS 2008 collection for this. It's not an easy design to wear, but I find the shape so elegant.

In this post I also would like to introduce you to one of my 'trademark' necklaces: the 'Richelieu' by Les Précieuses, a Belgian label of handmade costume jewelry designed and created by Pili Collado. I mentioned Les Précieuses in several posts and, if you live in Brussels, I would recommend a visit to its downtown shop (83 Rue Antoine Dansaert): it's like a beautiful box full of sparkling necklaces, bracelets and brooches, and one of the few places where you can find collections by Antipast, Shourouk and Mühlbauer.

The 'Richelieu' was one of my many 'love a first sight' purchases and if you want to know more about the 'psychology' of how we fall in love with clothes (and accessories in my case), I will recommend you a very funny post by the Belgian blogger The Shophopper. I hope you'll enjoy the reading and I wish you all a great week-end!

Love this look!
ReplyDeleteThe necklace and hat are fab! I purchased a similar hat... a vintage fur one.
Love your cape and your necklace! I'm planning to go to Brussels in February and for suuuure I'll go to the amazing shop you suggested! Thank you very much for it!
ReplyDeleteI read your post about shifting between London and Brussels... it's so good, isn't it? I used to do that for kind of 3 years, up to June 2011 (then I went to London!) In my case, Hanover-London, or Paris-London, although I went once from Brussels, in April. I love London! Lived there up to November (but in some previous years too) and will be there again in January. Can't wait, can't waaaait! Not showing off, just telling you that I understand your love for the city (I'm addicted to that!)
