Contrary to what the title might suggest, this post is not about a new crime fiction TV series. Few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of discovering - or better of being discovered by - P.A.P. (Products And Philosophy), an original Swedish leather goods company of handmade accessories designed and produced in Sweden.
Concerning the first P of the name, products, this label specialises in bags and technology cases whose main features are the sleek design and the amazing quality of materials. P.A.P. works exclusively with local Swedish factories and they only use the best vegetably tanned Swedish and Italian leather or felt made with Swedish wool and recycled PET bottles. As for the second P, there is not better way to explain P.A.P.'s philosophy than using the words of Ulf Pyk, the designer and artisan who created this label:“My inspiration [...] was to create a product that was an antidote to the cold and impersonal feeling of modern technology. I wanted the warm and organic sensation of leather to replace the cold feeling of a laptop aluminum shell”.
When I had the chance to choose a couple of products, I fell for the leather Card Wallet in the feminine off white colour and the iPad Cover Felt, which is so nice that in my vision will serve both the intended purpose of practical iPad case and my personal interpretation as stylish winter clutch. I love the way that Ulf Pyk described his vision for the line - although I love sleek, modern designs in many ways, warmth is something that they often lack and you can practically seeing it coming from these pieces, particularly the felt iPad case. I honestly thought it was a clutch until I read through your whole post, so I know it's going to serve a stylish function as well as the practical one :)

Beautiful pieces! I really like almost everything when it comes to swedish design! I like the simplisity and minimalism of the design! The ipod case is my favourite, definitely! Thanks for sharing dear. I haven't heard about it but now I keep my eyes open for this brand!

Such beautiful minimalism, I really like it! Actually tried to make something similar to the business card holder once with scraps of leather but I didn't have a sewing machine so my handstitching didn't turn out that great. I really need one of those :)
