This picture inspired me to some radical changes in my life. No, I'm not going to buy any pieces of the recent Christian Dior Couture show (beautiful, but a bit over the top for data entry at the office, not to mention the dramatic effects on my bank account) and I most certainly don't want to redesign my garden in the fashion of this runaway garden hedge. In a previous post, I mentioned that 2013 could bring a new haircut and I've been receiving several questions from blog readers and friends about it. Well, the hairstyle at the Dior show was the closest thing to what I have in mind for my head. Mr. NJAPD, consider this as the second warning. And be prepared.

I love that you went for this title. Cannot wait to see the cut Cat! For more hairstyle inspiration, you should check out Katie Armour's cut - I adore it. http://instagram.com/katiearmour
ReplyDeleteJess, thanks for the inspiration! I'll leave it to the hairdresser to decide what kind of short is good for me and we will see the result...hope I will be brave!
DeleteThat is short! Cannot wait to see it!
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty and chic, love it and can't wait to see your next look darling!

Yeha! I love radical image change, it's good for the soul! Can't wait to see the result! x
ReplyDeleteI'm still not convinced on short hair for me {although you do have me thinking about visiting Italy to see your stylist!} but as soon as I saw this photo, I could picture you with this cut. Looking forward to seeing the results {in person!} in the spring :)

Haha! I so love your witty writing style dear Caterina! I'm a cowird when it comes to hair changes. But I admire people who dare to change radically! I'm 100% supporting you and looking forward to seeing your new hair-do one day:)

I love radical changes. I might take the plunge too. :) Hope you're enjoying your weekend! xo
ReplyDeleteI like it! Follower from HK
ReplyDeleteShort hair is fabulous! I think you should go for it...The worst that could happen is you don't like it and hair grows back! xx
ReplyDeleteMust admit, the hair was the best thing about the collection and yes, I absolutely adore this style. My mum had it for years and years, since I was a little girl, so no wonder I love it so much. Plus I like Jean Seberg's style - her hair looked so exquisite.
ReplyDeleteI think it's beautiful, but will be such a dramatic change! For you, Mr and even your wardrobe (I did have to alter mine after I had a super short bob once (or twice) due to change in volume on top)
Still... Would LOVE to see the result. :)

Thank you Natalia! I share your admiration for Jean Seberg and I have been thinking about a radical cut for many months, so I think it's time! You are right that it will also be an opportunity to think about new fashion choices...even better!
DeleteI have been saying the same thing to my Mr too. I had short hair for many years and feel I am missing the look. Have you have had short hair before? I agree with Rachel - what the heck, hair grows. Go for it. Xxxx
ReplyDeleteDvora, thank you for the support! Yes, I had a short bob and a super short cut, which - I have to say - it was not one of my best hairstyles. Having said that, it will be in the ability of my hairdresser to create a perfect pixie for me. Or this is what I hope for!
DeleteAnd Thank you for all your lovely comments. Xxxx
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your support! The hairdresser appointment will be for April and, of course, I will keep you posted!
ReplyDeletewow i think this will look great with your features! april sounds perfect, a new spring cut x

Have it done by a really good hairdresser! Also you will have to reconsider part of your wardrobe, which will be fun :) Sounds like Mr. isn't that keen on your plan? Men...
